We offer pre-cut stainless steel tubes designed by IDEX to meet the demanding requirements of today’s analyses.

Stainless steel tubes go through approximately these five steps:

  • Machine cutting
  • Polishing each end,
  • Deburring the inside and outside edges
  • Passivating the tubes
  • Rinsing with reagent grade isopropanol through each piece

This thorough preparation and cleaning process ensures that the tubing is truly ready for use, with flat, burr-free ends and a clean surface.
This care is important to achieve good chromatographic results.

Note

PEEK polymer tubing can be used to replace stainless steel tubing in most liquid analytical systems. Unlike stainless steel tubing, PEEK tubing is biocompatible, flexible, and can easily be cut to desired lengths. All Stainless Steel tubing longer than 1 m is coiled.
