Dibenzo- Products
Polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PCDDs) are a very toxic group of compounds. Dioxins are formed during the burning of organic materials. Forest fires and volcanic eruptions cause some dioxins. However, their contribution to the current accumulation levels are minor compared to human activities such as burning trash or fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and natural gas. Processes that can produce dioxins include the manufacture of pesticides! In addition, dioxins are present in small amounts in tobacco smoke.
Due to their lipophilic properties, members of the PCDD family accumulate in the environment and in humans and can cause developmental disorders and cancer.
Analytical methods and certified reference materials to identify and quantify this family of persistent organic pollutants have never been more critical.
We can supply your lab with an extensive dioxins line to support your daily routine analysis and research studies.
