Water Quality Methods

Access to safe drinking water is essential to health, a fundamental human right, and a component of effective policy for health protection.

The importance of water, sanitation, and hygiene for health and development has been reflected in the outcomes of a series of international policy forums.

Chemical contaminants in drinking water, such as pesticides arising from contaminated landfill sites, are responsible for large-scale health effects through water after extended exposure of years.
Measurements include arsenic, fluoride, lead, nitrate, selenium, and many more inorganics, providing guidance on identifying local priorities.

Disclaimer: The lists of chemicals addressed in this method do not imply that all of these chemicals will always be present or that other chemicals not addressed will be absent.
