DART-OS is designed for you to walk-up, analyze and go: virtually anyone can synthesize compounds quickly, simply and with accuracy. It combines our basic Direct Analysis in Real Time source with the OpenSpot® module, an enclosed ionization region that contains vapors and minimizes sample contamination. Start the system – switch on the source and start the VAPUR® pump
Spot or dose the sample onto an OpenSpot® sample card in the clearly marked area
Slot the card into the system to guide your sample into exactly the right position for successful analysis
Scan – the system will apply transmission mode DART passing heated carrier gas through the sample
Remove the card and discard
DART-OS needs no solvents or vials. It has no moving parts and simplified hardware for quick mounting/dismounting to any LC/MS; switch to an open ionization region whenever you need to. For the toughest of challenges it offers easy-to implement dopant methods for ionization and derivatization.
